Editorial Policy
How we select sources, handle uncertainty and make corrections.
Our sourcing hierarchy
We prioritize original peer-reviewed studies and official US institutions such as NIH and FDA. We use secondary reports to discover stories, but try to verify significant numerical claims against original abstracts or official records before writing.
Original writing and AI assistance
Stories are written as original explanations for everyday readers, not copied from other publishers. AI-assisted drafting has been used in this publication. AI is not a substitute for checking citations, current facts, images or potential health risks. No medical credential is attributed to the editorial desk.
What “evidence-aware” means
A laboratory mechanism, an association from a cohort study and a randomized clinical trial answer different questions. We name that distinction rather than collapsing every result into a headline promising a benefit. We distinguish beverage use from concentrated extracts and mark relevant cautions.
Corrections and updates
Substantive corrections should explain what changed and when; article dates must reflect real edits. Corrections must be tracked transparently by the site operator. Do not fabricate reviewers, interviews or firsthand tests.
Commercial independence
Paid placements and affiliate relationships, if introduced, should be labeled and kept separate from editorial decisions. This static edition does not include ad units, affiliate tracking or sponsored placements.
